[Update] Twitch Streaming Comes To Xbox One Alongside Titanfall
Update: Microsoft has provided additional information on how Twitch broadcasting will work on the Xbox One. In addition to being able to join broadcaster parties, you'll be able to add to and access archived footage on your Xbox One. You'll also be able to see if your friends are broadcasting via the friends app and activity feed.
In order to activate Twitch broadcasting, Microsoft is implementing the "Xbox, Broadcast" command. Based on the screenshot we added below, it appears that there will be some form of channel customization and branding available. You can see more in the video below.

Microsoft has announced that a long-awaited Twitch streaming feature is coming to Xbox One alongside Respawn’s Titanfall on March 11. In addition to offering gameplay direct from the console and on-screen chat, the Xbox One integration will offer something not found on rival PlayStation 4: archiving.
The difference is that PS4 Twitch experience was crafted by Sony, whereas the AP article announcing the feature suggests that Microsoft had a hand in developing the Xbox One version. The update on Xbox One also includes the ability for broadcasters to directly interact with viewers through the updated party system.
"It's complete integration," Twitch CEO Emmett Shear told the Associated Press. "It's exciting because we've never had the ability to broadcast from a console like this with such a deep level of integration. The concept of being able to join a broadcasters' party is really cool, and it's another step in the direction of interacting more closely with broadcasters."
Yesterday, Microsoft announced a limited availability Titanfall console bundle that effectively puts the Xbox One on sale for $430. The company also dropped the price of the console in the UK by £30.
Our Take
The archiving feature is a standout in this announcement. I’m not sure how I feel about the intersection of broadcasting and parties without more details, though. As long as the streamer can control things, it will be a nice bonus, especially if invites can be handled through the chat and delivered directly to others watching the stream on Xbox One.
