Development Video Looks Behind The Scenes Of Elder Scrolls Mod Skywind
A group of more than 70 modders is working on a mod that updates The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind using the Skyrim engine. A new video from the group showcases the mod in action, and details just how much work went into the project.
You can check out the video below, which details how the team wants to do more than just update Morrowind's assorted assets, the team, "wanted to create something that could be embraced by both by Bethesda and The Elder Scrolls community. It is a chance for fans to recreate a loved world in their design and make it their own."
The mod is incomplete, but you can download an unfinished version of it right now. To do so, you must own licensed copies of Morrowind and all of its expansions, as well as Skyrim on PC. You can head here to get the download, which in its unfinished state currently lacks crafting and smithing mechanics.
Thanks to Alex Beinhorn for the news tip!
It's always exciting to see an online community embrace a project this large. It's not something you see very often. The finished mod will offer a fantastic opportunity for new Elder Scrolls fans to experience the series' roots. I hope Bethesda takes notice and offers help on the project in any way it can.
