Halloween Means Video Game Jack O'Lanterns

by Mike Futter on Oct 25, 2013 at 11:29 AM

We showcase all kinds of video game-related art all year 'round. This time of year is special though, as it's the only time we get to show off pumpkin carvings, and these are some really excellent ones.

The images above and below were taken by Rob Fleischer of Sandbox Strategies at Rise of the Jack O'Lanterns. This event is held annually on Long Island in Old Westbury, New York. It's still going on this weekend and next.

Advanced tickets are required, and you'll need to visit at a specific date and time. Given that there are over 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins though, it's understandable why they might not want overcrowding (and the resulting smooshed gourds).
