Bohemia To Release First Arma 3 Campaign DLC

by Matt Helgeson on Oct 10, 2013 at 03:53 PM

The first in Bohemia's promised three single-player DLC episodes will be release by month's end.

On Bohemia's website, Arma 3 creative director Jay Crowe said, "Our first campaign episode, 'Survive', introduces players to Ben Kerry, a regular soldier who's part of a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean. Following a couple of years of uneasy cease-fire, this US-led deployment is now in the process of a staged drawdown. The vacuum left by withdrawing forces is being rapidly filled by the opposing CSAT faction, creating the conditions for, one might say, a flashpoint."

The free update will also include content for the base sandbox game, giving content creators new animations, 3D object, and "scripted modules."

There are two more future single-player DLC releases plans for Arma 3. The Survive DLC will release on October 31.

Our Take:
This DLC has been delayed a few times, so it's good to see that Bohemia is finally getting the single-player released. Also nice to see that it's completely free.
