LucasFilm Registers A Number Of Star Wars Websites

by Mike Futter on May 08, 2013 at 04:17 AM

The first hints of Disney's plans for its part of the interactive Star Wars universe could be coming soon. The company has registered a number of website domains that might be video game related.

Per the company's agreement with EA, Disney retains control of publishing Star Wars titles in the mobile and social spaces. If these are games and not properties intended for other media, they would not be "core titles," as that category is under EA's leadership.

The list includes some interesting possibilities (Order 67 and Wolf Pack), some ambiguous names (Star Wars Rebels), and a couple of truly frightening titles (Gungan Frontier and Wookiee Hunters).

EA has already stated that we won't have any new Star Wars games from them until after the close of fiscal year 2014 (March 31, 2014), but those looking for their fix of blasters, Force powers, and lightsabers might have a new hope. We've reached out to LucasFilm, which is listed as the registrant, for comment.
