Ubisoft Is Pitching Hollywood On Ghost Recon Movie

by Ben Reeves on Jan 01, 2013 at 09:40 AM

Ubisoft has been on a push to turn many of its properties into big budget films. Splinter Cell, Assassins' Creed, and Watch Dogs are all in various degrees of development, but Ubisoft isn't stopping there; next up on the list is Ghost Recon.

According to the LA Times, Jean-Julien Baronnet, chief executive of Ubisoft's Motion Pictures unit, is currently putting together a pitch for a movie based on the Ghost Recon franchise. Ubisoft's Ghost Recon games haven't always had the most involved stories, so it will be interesting to see how the company evolves this property into a film, and which Hollywood production company might pick it up. But for a glimpse of what a future film might look like check out this 25-minute prequel film put together for the release of Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

Which of Ubisoft's franchises would you most like to see turned into a film?
