Wheatley Makes A Cameo In Space With NASA's Help
A small engraving of Wheatley along with the quote "In spaaaaaaace!" has appeared on panel that will be heading to the International Space Station.
The official Portal 2 blog posted the image morning, which comes from an anonymous NASA employee. Valve couldn't emphasize enough that the employee would not be names saying, "NASA in no way officially endorses secretly laser-engraving characters from Portal onto their spacecraft. Believe it or not, they don't even officially endorse Portal 2, despite the fact that it's a really excellent game."
I thought it was the Space Core, personally, but the Portal 2 blog says Wheatley, so I'm going to go with what they say. In any case, it's awesome. A lot of video games have gone into space this year.
