Rockstar Drops Trailer For Nicholson Electroplating L.A. Noire DLC

by Matt Helgeson on Jun 16, 2011 at 08:21 AM

The "Nicholson Electroplating" DLC case for Rockstar's L.A. Noire will be released next Tuesday on June 21, but you can get a sneak peek at this intriguing case right now. The case will retail for $3.99 on PlayStation 3 and 320 MS Points on Xbox Live. However, it is free to those who bought the Rockstar Pass which gets you all the special bonus items and DLC for L.A. Noire for one set price. Rockstar has also extended its discount on the L.A. Noire pass for one more week, so you can still get the Nicholson case plus all past and future DLC for a cool $9.99 or 800 MS Points.

Now, for the trailer. This resolves something that's been bothering me since I played L.A. Noire. When I went to Los Angeles to see the game for our cover story on L.A. Noire, I remembered a case that involved a large explosion that had leveled several city blocks. It has also tied into legendary recluse Howard Hughes and his Spruce Goose plane. After finishing the game, I wondered why I hadn't seen that sequence. Now I know: it was the Nicholson Electroplating case that you can buy next week. From what I saw, it looked like a pretty dramatic and exciting sequence of the game, so I'm very eager to get my hands on it after all this time.
