The $38,000 NES Game

by Matt Miller on May 12, 2011 at 08:31 AM

A game found cheap at a yard sale is now one of the most expensive rare video games to ever show up on the market.

Family Fun Fitness: Stadium Events was a game released by Bandai in 1987. You probably know a version of the game. Remember World Class Track Meet and the Power Pad from Nintendo? As it turns out, Nintendo bought the rights to the game/pad and renamed it, and recalled Family Fun Fitness: Stadium Events from stores.

Nonetheless, a few copies found their way out into the public, including a sealed version of the game found at a yard sale in Orange County, New York. That same copy is now on sale over at eBay for $37,999.99.The exceedingly rare game could be worth it for a dedicated collector with some extra cash on hand.

Are you that collector? And do you really not have something better to spend your money on? Really?
