World Of Keflings Getting Combat (But Not Really)
Today is the worst day of the year to be on the Internet, and Ninja Bee helps illustrate why with a press release about how its lovable Keflings are being transformed into murderous Deathlings. Sure, whatever you say, Ninja Bee.
Here's a sample from statement:
"Really, who wants to play an RTS where there's no combat?" said Brent Fox, Art Director at NinjaBee. "That would just be stupid. Not a lot of people know this, but making Keflings the easy-going game it is now was just a big mistake. We meant the original game to be like Age of Empires, Warcraft or Starcraft, but somebody messed up and forgot to build in the combat. I blame our QA department."
It isn't easy to be funny on demand, so I'm not judging Ninja Bee too harshly...but given the lengths other developers go to for their pranks, this one seems kind of lame. There aren't even any fake images!
Oh, well. Don't let this prank deter you from picking up the game, which is currently super-cheap.
