Local Co-op Returns In EDF: Insect Armageddon

by Joe Juba on Nov 02, 2010 at 09:20 AM

As if you weren't already excited for Insect Armageddon's three-player online co-op, D3 has announced that the upcoming shooter will also support local split-screen co-op.

For those of us who played EDF 2017 with a friend sitting on a couch, this is fantastic news. It means that you can have a similar experience with Insect Armageddon, strategizing and scrambling for weapons with a buddy . The experience will even be a little more co-op friendly considering that you can now revive fallen partners (instead of them staying dead for the whole level).

Additionally, instead of the previously announced 150 weapons, Insect Armageddon now has over 300 guns to add to your arsenal!

In case you can't tell, I'm a big fan of EDF 2017, and can't wait to see what developer Vicious Cycle does with this new installment. While you're waiting for the game's release this spring, you can check out the screenshots below that highlight the newly announced split-screen co-op.
