Put On Your Thinking Caps For Final Fantasy Contest

by Jeff Cork on Oct 02, 2010 at 07:38 AM

Do fighters make you yawn? Does the idea of playing as yet another black mage make you want to knock yourself into a coma? Well, hotshot, now’s your chance to show those stuffy RPG nerds what you’ve got. Square Enix’s upcoming Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light features a job system based on a wide variety of crowns. The thing is, they’d like to see what the community can come up with, too.

From now until October 22, Square Enix is accepting entries in one of two categories. The artistically inclined can submit illustrations of their own unique crown ideas. Those of you who are better at typing than drawing can use their keyboards to jot down the features and abilities that their crown would contain.

Each category will have a grand prize winner, chosen by the game’s development team. What do those winners get? Funny you should ask. Each of the grand prize winners will get their ideas drawn in original art created by the game’s illustrator, Yuka Miyamoto. Oh yeah, they get a DSi and a copy of the game, too. Up to two honorable mentions will each score a copy of Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light for the DS.

What are you waiting for? Go to Square Enix’s site for more details on how to enter and to peruse the entire rules…if you’re into that kind of thing.
