Ubisoft Reveals Action Platformer Outland

by Tim Turi on Sep 03, 2010 at 06:39 AM

Awesome downloadable games are coming in by the truckload, and it appears Ubisoft has a new addition on the way. Outland is an action platformer game inspired by Prince of Persia and Ikaruga, coming to PSN and XBLA.

Outland takes place is a world crippled by chaos. Players must run, leap, climb, and fight their way to overcome the darkness. Darkness isn’t merely a descriptor of the word’s current moral state, either. The screenshots of Outland look like Limbo infused with neon accents.

The actions of the player will decide whether the player delivers the world from darkness or lets it slip into despair. Outlands unique presentation and potentially moody world will be complimented by composer Ari Pulkkinen, the man responsible for scoring Trine.

Outland arrives in early 2011.
