Listen To Game Informer's Favorite Songs of 2017

by Matt Bertz on Dec 28, 2017 at 12:00 PM

Whatever way you cut it, 2017 was an intense year. Whether we were experiencing joy, disgust, fear, surprise, excitement, or disappointment, Game Informer's editors and designers had a song for the moment. Now it's time to share those songs with you via our annual Spotify playlist!

With 26 contributors, the yearly compilation is quite eclectic. Expect many transitions into new genres as you meander through the long playlist.

Not all readers have as varied taste as we do, so here is some guidance for fans of particular music genres. For hip-hop lovers, our rhyme bank includes the likes of Kendrick Lamar (duh), Vince Staples, and SZA. If you're looking for a dance party, queue up Major Lazer, Camila Cabello, and DNCE.

Punk/metal fans should make sure to check out Iron Reagan, Power Trip, and Zeal & Ardor. More of a regular rocker? Give The Black Angels, Japandroids, or Death From Above 1979 a listen. If you're looking for music to match a somber mood, we recommend Bedouine, The National, or St. Vincent. Enjoy!
