Battlefield 1 Players Cease Fire To Observe 100th Anniversary Of WWI
With today marking the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, players in Battlefield 1 briefly stopped shooting one another, at their 11 a.m. local time in Melbourne, to observe the armistice.
11 a.m. on November 11 is when Veterans Day ceremonies have a two-minute moment of silence. While not everyone complied in-game, most did. It's really neat to see a group of players have a moment of silence in a video game.
The cease fire was captured on video and posted on Reddit. EA DICE's Jan David Hassel took note of it on Twitter, which you can view below (the video is in the tweet as well).

World War 1 is Battlefield 1's setting, and the war lasted from July 28, 1914 to November 11, 1918.
