Mafia III
2K Games and Hangar 13 have invested years in building the world of Mafia III, and the time and attention shown to create a believable recreation of the game’s 1960s setting really shows. Look no further than these new screens for the promising game, which do a great job of showing off the fictional city of New Bordeaux, a not-so-subtle reimagining of New Orleans from 1968.
From a shot of a flooded southern street, to images of stealth gameplay in the midst of the bayou, Mafia III is aiming to immerse players in its historical fiction. The story focuses on a Vietnam vet who returns home, only to have his friends in the black mob gunned down by the Italian Mafia. Many of the images below help illustrate steps along protagonist Lincoln Clay’s path to revenge.
Mafia III is targeting release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 7. You can also check out a trailer released earlier this week.
