Psyonix Exploring Possibility Of Bringing Rocket League To Switch

by Jordan Leendertsen on Mar 28, 2017 at 07:12 AM

As reported by IGN, Rocket League developer Psyonix is looking into the possibility of bringing the hit sports game to the Nintendo Switch. Psyonix Studios' vice president Jeremy Dunham spoke on the matter, stating that the decision would be heavily based on community feedback, as well as the technical limitations of the system.

"Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it. We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are," Dunham told IGN. "We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would."

In other recent Rocket League news, the game's sales have recently reached 10.5 million, which you can read more about here.

Our Take
Psyonix has made Rocket League a hit with their "community first" mentality, and putting in the work to bring it to Nintendo's latest system would definitely be in line with that. I'm sure there are more than a few Rocket League fans who would jump at the chance to play it on the go.
