Crowdfunding/Investment Platform Fig Secures More Funding

by Matthew Kato on Jan 19, 2017 at 04:41 AM

Fig, the hybrid crowdfunding/investment game-funding platform used by titles like Wasteland 3 (shown), got a shot in the arm today thanks to $7.84 million in financing.

Spark Capital and Greycroft led the round, and a Fig spokesperson says that the influx of money will accelerate the number of projects on the platform.

Fig allows fans to back crowdfunded projects in the usual manner as well as buy shares for them for possible monetary return based on sales revenue.
