Fixes Coming For Stardew Valley On Consoles

by Joe Juba on Dec 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM

Stardew Valley was a surprise hit when it released on PC earlier this year (read our review), and now PS4 and Xbox One players can get in on the excitement of chores and country living. Of course, life on the farm isn't easy, and some gamers have run into technical issues with the console versions.

According to a post on Stardew Valley's official site, the teams are aware of the problems and working on fixes. The list of issues includes "Game crashes when going to sleep around the 3rd day, if the system language is not english. (PS4)" and "Game crashes in certain cases if the Exit To Title button was used (Xbox One)."

While you should certainly be aware of these issues, you can still enjoy the game on PS4 and Xbox One if you check out these temporary workarounds

Our Take
While technical problems are always disappointing, I would urge players to be patient and give Stardew Valley a chance. This is one of my favorite games of the year, and it would be a shame if potential players got scared off by problems at launch – especially if those problems end up getting resolved quickly.
