New Character Revealed For Bloodstained, Plus Cross-Play On Xbox One & Windows 10

by Tim Turi on Aug 04, 2015 at 06:11 AM

During Microsoft's Gamescom 2015 press conference Castlevania: Symphony of the Night creator Koji Igarashi took the stage to reveal a new character for his new game Bloodstained. The nobly dressed man is armed with blades and versed in the skills of magic.

Igarashi didn't make it certain whether the new character would be playable, but he looks ready and able to slay a castle full of demons. He wields dual swords and has a host of magical abilities. Igarashi also noted that he and his team at Inti Creates are working to release Bloostained: Ritual of the Night as soon as possible. Bloodstained is due to release March 2017 for PS4, Vita, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC. Today's announcement also comes with news that the game will feature cross-play between Windows 10 and Xbox One.

Bloodstained was successfully funded on Kickstarter earlier this year, raising $5.5 million in the course of its month of crowd funding. Igarashi isn't the creator of the Castlevania series, but he was involved in the popular Super Metroid-inspired Symphony of the Night and portable titles.
