Super Meat Boy Jumping Onto PlayStation Platforms This Fall

by Jeff Cork on Jun 08, 2015 at 04:52 AM

Nearly five years after its initial release on Xbox 360 and PC, Super Meat Boy is leaping over obstacles and landing on the PlayStation 4 and Vita.

Team Meat – Tommy Refenes and Edmund McMillen – made the announcement in a video, which you can see below. McMillen looks better than ever!

According to a companion post on the PlayStation Blog, Team Meat wanted to bring the game to PlayStation for years, but weren't to because of "very complicated reasons." Now, they're able to, though, they had to leapfrog over PlayStation 3.

Super Meat Boy will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita this fall. If you're a member of PlayStation Plus, Team Meat says you'll be able to get the game at launch for no additional charge.

Our Take
It's a long time coming, but it's good to see Meat Boy back. Since he was an Xbox 360 console exclusive, a fair amount of players never got a chance to see just what all of the fuss was about. Now's their chance.
