Ubisoft Requests World War I Memorabilia For Valiant Hearts: The Great War

by Kyle Hilliard on Feb 01, 2014 at 05:45 AM

Valiant Hearts: The Great War has a stylized look, but is grounded in real World War I history, and Ubisoft is looking to the community to fill out the game's collectible objects.

Ubisoft is seeking real-world objects with World War I historical context and stories behind them. If you have something relevant, Ubisoft is asking players to submit pictures of their objects to either Valiant Hearts' Facebook or Tumblr pages. Two objects will be selected and drawn by the game's art director, Paul Tumelaire, to appear as a collectible in the game.

Ubisoft is more interested in the story behind the object than the actual object itself. If you have some World War I memorabilia and are interested in trying to get your objects into the game, you can learn more about the contest here.

For more on Valiant Hearts: The Great War, you can check out the most recent trailer for the game here. The game should be available some time this year on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Our Take
It's an odd headline and contest, but one that certainly makes sense in the context of the game. It could be a good way to immortalize a family story from World War I.
