Pokémon X & Y Patch 1.2 Addresses Exploits And Bugs

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 14, 2013 at 08:21 AM

Pokémon X & Y has been patched to version 1.2, and it removes a few bugs and eliminates some exploits that have surfaced.

You can download the patch now by heading into the 3DS eShop. A bug that prevented evolved wonder-traded Pokémon from learning new moves has been addressed, as well as an issue with captions not appearing during Trainer PR Videos.

The Battle Analyzer tool, which players were exploiting to preemptively view online combatants Pokémon and moves, has been deactivated, but as a result ranked Battle Spot battles have been reactivated.

Our Take
It's still a little strange to see a Nintendo game getting a patch. Nintendo is still new to this whole post-release support thing, but it seems to be doing a pretty good job.
