New Zealand Student Designed New Metro: Last Light "Bicycle Shotgun"

by Matt Helgeson on Sep 19, 2013 at 03:45 PM

Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games asked for fan submission for new weapon ideas, and this impressive multi-barreled shotgun won.

The design was submitted by Alexandre Bannwarth, a design student at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. The weapon - which, in keeping with Metro's post-apocalyptic setting, is made up of scrounged bicycle parts - has been selected to be included in 4A's new Developer Pack DLC.

The Bicycle Shotgun was chosen both for its obvious in-game utility and the fact that 4A Games' creative director Andrew "Prof" Prokhorov felt that it was well-designed and could actually function if built in the real world.

Our Take:
The creativity of fans never ceases to amaze us. This looks like one bad-ass gun. There's only one question though...is this a hipster shotgun made from fixed gear parts?
