3DS Has Outsold PS3 In Only Two Years In Japan

According to the latest reports, Nintendo's 3DS handheld has surpassed the PS3 in lifetime sales in Japan. 

Media Create (via Nintendo Life), reported that 211,499 Nintendo 3DSs were sold between December 3 and December 9 making the grand total of 3DSs sold  8,799,378 since its debut two years ago. The PS3 has only sold 8,716,260 units since its debut in Japan in November 2006.  

The only platform to outsell the 3DS last week was the Wii U, which had 308,142 units sold in Japan. Check out Eurogamer for the full listing of sales.
