Trion Worlds' Rift & More Coming To EA's Origin

by Matthew Kato on Jan 24, 2012 at 02:59 AM

Electronic Arts is growing its stable of games available on its Origin download service with new partnerships with 11 publishers, including Trion Worlds, who will be bringing Rift to Origin.

The MMORPG is the first game officially announced from this deal, which also includes publisher and developers CD Projekt RED, Paradox Interactive, Robot Entertainment, Freebird Games, Recoil Games, Autumn Games, 1C Company, inXile Entertainment, Core Learning Ltd., and N3V Games.

No official titles from the other partners have been announced for Origin, and it would be a shame if we didn't see CD Projekt RED's Witcher series, Robot's Orcs Must Die!, and Recoil's Rochard. It's good to see with these partnerships that Origin seems to be targeting a diverse lineup, as evidence in partnerships with companies like Freebird Games (check out some of their stuff at their website) and Core Learning.
