PlayStation Home Redesign Starts Tomorrow

by Matthew Kato on Nov 02, 2011 at 04:00 AM

Whether you're someone who's never checked out Home or you're a diehard, Sony's redesigning the social games space to give people more of what they want: games.

This restructuring of Home allows you to keep all the items, spaces, and info you've accrued since it began, while at the same time bringing the service's free games to the forefront. Home is now divided up into five distinct districts mirroring the content within. The Hub itself is where you can pick up Home-wide meta quests that make Home a game within itself. Meanwhile, the Action, Sportswalk, Adventure, and Pier Park areas are appropriately themed and house games related to that genre.

For instance, in the Action district you'll find the Bootleggers '29 first-person shooter, while the Sportswalk contains the PlayStation Home Hold 'Em free-to-play card game. Elsewhere at the Pier Park, you can build your own RC car and race against others in RC Rally.

Whatever your inclination, you can log into Home and check out the new landscape tomorrow, November 3rd.
