Valve Enables Russian Population To Buy More Steam Games

by Kyle Hilliard on Oct 23, 2011 at 07:18 PM

In an attempt to make Steam games more widely available to Russians, Valve has partnered with a company called Xsolla to enable over 450,000 cash kiosks in the country to allow for money to be added directly to users' steam accounts.

Xsolla is an international company that specializes in payment solutions for online games, so a partnership with Valve makes sense. The solution for allowing Russians to add money to their Valve wallets though is a bit surprising. It seems like basically Russian ATMs now have an option to move money to your Steam account.
