Catching 'Em All In Pokémon Go: Impressions And Strategies
For the past 20 years, Pokémon has been a mainstay of the video game industry, challenging players to catch 'em all across a wide variety of Nintendo's platforms. With the new mobile ARG Pokémon Go, however, Nintendo's pocket monsters are captivating a much wider audience in the real world.
In this special edition podcast, Andrew Reiner, Dan Tack, and I discuss our newfound infatuation with Pokémon Go, which involved some serious Pokémon hunting this weekend. Surprisingly, we were far from the only ones – the myriad Pokéstops and gyms that populate the Twin Cities have been attracted thousands of players, and we're guessing Minnesota isn't a special case.
After discussing the cultural phenomenon of the game, we probe Dan Tack's mind for tips, strategies, and a wealth of other information that Pokémon Go doesn't readily convey, so stick around if you want some pointers.
