Gotham City Impostors
Gotham City Imposters definitely has a DIY aesthetic, but it wasn't until I saw this new trailer for the game that I fully appreciated just how raggedy these gangs were. The clip shows off just some of the customization options players will have in the downloadable FPS, including tweaks to clothing, gadgets, and guns.
In addition to showing off the visual tweaks available to members of the Bats and Jokerz gangs, the trailer highlights some key gameplay elements. The ending section in particular demonstrates just how chaotic the matches can be, with characters zipping across maps, leaping into the air, or using vents to glide. When I played the game back at E3, I noticed how important the unorthodox traversal is to the game. There are also a few shots of some new weapons, including a freeze gun and a gnome with electrochock capabilities.
I'll be getting my hands on the game again at Gamescom next week, so be sure to check back for my updated impressions. Until then, check out the new trailer and prepare yourself for a completely bizarre take on Batman's already strange world.
The downloadable game is set for an early 2012 release on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and PC.
