Atlus Confirms Dragon's Crown Pro Western Release With New Trailer

by Keenan McCall on Dec 06, 2017 at 12:47 PM

The remastered edition of Dragon's Crown comes to the west next year with a slew of improvements and new additions.

In a trailer released by Atlus, the publisher confirms that Dragon's Crown Pro will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro in North America and Europe. The new edition offers refined, 4K compatible art and graphics, as well as a rerecorded soundtrack created with a live orchestra. An official site for the game was also released and cites more improvements made to the original title will be available.

Originally released in 2013 and developed by Vanillaware, Dragon's Crown was met with generally positive reception for its 2D art style and beat-'em-up gameplay. Using local and online multiplayer, players team up to tackle a variety of quests and bosses as one of six fantasy characters.

Players can return to the remastered fantasy world when Dragon's Crown Pro reaches the west in Spring of 2018.

Our Take
After months of speculation and rumors since the Japanese version was announced, we finally have a confirmation of Dragon's Crown Pro's western release. Kudos to Atlus for keeping people on the edge of their seat for so long.
