Weekend Warrior – Rest, Relaxation, And Playing Catchup

by Keenan McCall on Nov 10, 2017 at 08:15 PM

After last weekend's Extra Life shenanigans, the Game Informer editorial crew is ready to kick back and relax with some games for the next two days. For some, that means diving headlong into some of last week's big releases; for others, it means going back to releases from early last month that deserve a full playthrough. And of course, there's always the tried and true favorites ready to pull us back in.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – Oh man, I think I have a nice relaxing weekend coming up… I could keep playing Super Mario Odyssey, that’d be a good time. But I should really go back and play some more of the latest South Park game, it’d be nice to finish that one off. Have a good weekend!

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM) – I’ve got a whole host of games I’m currently not paying enough attention to, but Breath of the Wild sits at the top of the pile for this weekend. My first few hours with the game have been a bit rough, but I’m not giving up yet. I mean, Kyle loves it and he’s not stupid, so there must be something to it, right? Wait a minute – is Kyle stupid?

Imran Khan (@imranzomg) This weekend, I will finally start Assassin’s Creed Origins after the long process of getting it on my Xbox One X. I also appear to be low-key addicted to Mario Odyssey and keep finding myself playing for just one more moon for hours at a time.

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I have so many games on my plate at the moment: Wolfenstein II, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, and post-game stuff in Super Mario Odyssey and Shadow of War. However, I think I’m going to focus on Wolfenstein II and South Park this weekend. And Overwatch because of course.

Daniel Tack (@dantack) – A baguette with brie and butter.

Javy Gwaltney (@Hurdyiv) – I'm gonna be RIPPING AND TEARING on the go. Also Oddyseying.

Kyle Hilliard (@kylemhilliard) – I’m hoping to see Thor: Ragnarok this weekend, but otherwise I don’t have any big plans. I am done with Super Mario Odyssey, and I miss it dearly. I wish there was more available for me to do. I guess I could try to max out high score races? I might start Assassin’s Creed: Origins this weekend. It all depends on whether or not my daughter goes to bed at a reasonable hour.

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – I hope to finish Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and The Evil Within II this weekend. I’m also working on my Star Wars Battlefront II and Super Lucky’s Tale reviews. I enjoy one of those two games.

Cody Mello-Klein (@Proelectioneer) – My gaming diet this weekend is sweet and sour. I plan on getting to all the Super Mario Odyssey end game content that people have been talking about, while diving back into Wolfenstein 2 on higher difficulties (because I like pain).

George Ash (@GeorgeEAsh) – This weekend I’ll be hopping back on Overwatch to pwn some noobs, and I’m still slowly playing through South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I’ll also be checking out more of South Park: Phone Destroyer, which looks promising from my first hour or so with it.

Keenan McCall (@KEeNanMcCall525) – I'm going to be working a lot this next weekend, but hopefully I can sneak in some Metroid: Samus Returns before bed.
