Nintendo Outlines The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild DLC Plans

by Matthew Kato on Feb 14, 2017 at 03:28 AM

Nintendo has announced The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's DLC, containing two content packs covered by one Expansion Pass for $19.99.

Both are coming this year, and the first one is scheduled for this summer. It includes the Cave of Trials challenge, a hard mode, and "a new feature for the in-game map."

The second is set for this holiday season, and it contains challenges, a new dungeon, and a "new original story."

Both content packs are not sold individually – players must buy the Expansion Pass to get any of the DLC. Upon purchase or pre-purchase (the Expansion Pass is available when the game comes out on March 3), players get three treasure chests in the game's Great Plateau. Two contains items, while the third has a Switch logo shirt for Link that is exclusive to the pass.

The Expansion Pass and its DLC is also available for the Wii U version of the game, and the contents are identical.
