Korean Ratings Board Has Listed An Upcoming Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection

by Jeff Marchiafava on Aug 19, 2016 at 08:15 AM

South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee has revealed a potential round-up of Ezio's adventures for current-gen systems.

A NeoGAF sleuth by the name of catmario posted links to two SKUs for an Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection on PS4 and Xbox One. We were able to independently navigate to the posts via GRAC's search option, which doesn't offer any other information about the proposed other than the reason it received the board's 18+ rating. We reached out to Ubisoft for comment, which responded with a standard, "Ubisoft does not comment on rumors or speculation."

It's worth noting that in 2014, Ubisoft released an Assassins' Creed The Americas Collection, which bundled together Assassin's Creed III, Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, and Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. An Ezio collection would presumably include Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, but would require significantly more work to port to current- gen consoles than a simple retail bundle like the Americas Collection.

Our Take
Joe included an Ezio collection in his list of the Top 5 Remastered Collections We Want To Play, and I couldn't agree more; the Italian heartthrob's adventures were the high-point of the Assassin's Creed series for me, and I wouldn't mind running around Italy again with some upgraded visuals.
