Tale of Tales' Sunset is available for purchase for as low as $1 for today only, to celebrate the title's first anniversary.
You can buy the game via Tale of Tales' website for said price, or for $2 on Steam until tomorrow.
Sunset is a narrative game about a housekeeper during a military coup in 1972. While most games taking place in a ravaged war-zone are action-packed, this game is meant to put you in the shoes of an onlooker. While the concept has potential, it didn't meet our expectations. Even though it didn't resonate with us, it may still be worth considering at such a low price. It's nearly free, and you can judge the offbeat game for yourself.
The Tale of Tales studio closed down last year after poor sales for this title, and the creators, Michaël Samyn and Auriea Harvey, have left commercial video game development behind to pursue VR and other experimental, artistic endeavors with the medium.
Sunset is available on PC, Mac, and Linux.
