Creative Assembly Details Roadmap For Total War: Warhammer’s Free DLC

by Joe Buchholz on Apr 12, 2016 at 09:02 AM

Developer Creative Assembly announced today that the upcoming Total War: Warhammer will be supported with both free and paid post-launch DLC. This content will include new heroes, legendary lords, units, and a new playable race.

Total War: Warhammer’s DLC schedule looks to follow a similar path to Creative Assembly’s previous titles Total War: Rome II and Total War: Attila, which were supported by both paid and free content. You can see Creative Assembly’s tentative roadmap for free DLC in the image below.

The game will also be supported with paid DLC, which is detailed on Total War: Warhammer’s future content blog. Paid lord packs, race packs, and campaign packs will be making their way to Warhammer later in the year. Most notably, the campaign pack will give players a new playable race and the challenge campaign will be centered around a significant event in Warhammer lore.

Total War: Warhammer is coming to PC, Mac, and Linux soon, and was recently delayed from April to May 24. To check out more of Warhammer’s gameplay, check out our hands-on preview here.
