[Update] Xbox Live No Longer Limited For Electronic Arts Titles

by Kyle Hilliard on Jul 20, 2014 at 11:06 AM

Update: The issues appear to be resolved. The alerts previously posted on Xbox Live's status page are no longer present.

Original story:

It's unclear exactly what is holding up the service, but online play for Electronic Arts' games are currently limited on Xbox Live.

On Xbox Live's status page, the social and social and gaming are listed as currently limited. The details read, "We’re aware that some of you are having issues matchmaking on Electronic Arts titles. Don’t worry! We’re working with our partner to get this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience! We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more information."

Our Take
It's weird and unfortunate that only Electronic Arts' titles are affected. The issue must be coming from its servers as opposed to Microsoft's. Hopefully it will get sorted out soon so everyone can get back to their Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfaring.
