The upcoming PlayStation Network exclusive drama series Powers, based on the comic book of the same name, has some new details.

Announced during E3, the show will be available as part of a PlayStation Plus subscription, though the first episode will be free to everyone starting in December. The first two episodes will be directed by David Slade, who has directed episodes of Hannibal and Breaking Bad, as well as movies 30 Days of Night (another comic book adaptation) and Hard Candy.

The series will premiere in December, and Sony is promising more details to be revealed about the show throughtout the Summer.

Our Take
This is an interesting incentive to attract more PlayStation Plus subscribers. Slade certainly has some quality credits to his name making me optimistic that the show will be good. I will probably check out the first episode, out of curiosity, but I'm not sure if it's something I am excited to watch in its entirety.
