Battlefield Hardline Beta Damage Report Reveals People Like Committing Heists

by Dimitri Gedevanishvili on Jul 09, 2014 at 10:15 AM

EA has went ahead and released a stat report on the recent Battlefield Hardline beta. Many heists were made and much money was stolen during the run.

The stats are pretty impressive considering the beta lasted about two weeks. Over $9 trillion in cash was stolen in the Bloodmoney variant – but that doesn't even come close to the $374 trillion in destroyed vehicles. To see the full damage report, check out the infographic below.

Hardline's multiplayer is taking an interesting turn from what we may consider to be "traditional." By implementing a cops and robbers motif, they effectively open an avenue of potential gameplay types and level designs that we have never seen in a Battlefield game.

While Battlefield is typically known for multiplayer, with story taking a bit of a backseat since Bad Company 2, Visceral is focusing on making the story in Hardline longer and more substantial.

Battlefield: Hardline will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on October 21. For more on the shooter, read our hands-on preview.

Our Take
Having participated in the beta myself, I can say firsthand how entertaining it is, despite my growing out of first-person shooter games in the last few years. It still falls under a lot of the tropes that I had issues with in Battlefield 4, but it was still fun and I can see this game appealing to players who want a unique but still familiar FPS experience.
