New Duels Of The Planeswalkers Expansion Adds Five Decks And Ninja Rats
The plane of Kamigawa is one of the most interesting in the Magic: The Gathering universe. It is a world steeped in legends we associate with ancient Japanese culture, with a helping of ninja rats and mysterious demigods. More importantly, it is one of the new locations featured in the first Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014 expansion.
The upcoming add-on, which will arrive on September 18, 2013, will bring a new campaign, five new decks, a brand new revenge campaign against ultra-tough planeswalker bosses, and new challenges. The new builds include the Exalted keyword from the Alara block, Bushido and Ninjitsu from Kamigawa, Nissa and elves from Zendikar, a planeswalker named Dack Fayden with a blue/red deck, and a demon deck that is pure black.
The new expansion is timed alongside a Magic Celebration on September 7. Players new and veteran can come to one of thousands of stores to play Magic for free. Each participating player will get a booster pack and then choose from one of five decks to complement their draws. The event will include light deck customization and is designed to encourage friendly play.
Duels 2014 is available on PC, iOS, Android, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
