Pachter Predicts Price Drop For All Consoles
For all you gamers out there who put a console on your Christmas list only to find that Santa is cold, heartless *** who doesn't care, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter might have some good news for you.
Pachter is predicting a drop in the prices for the Wii, 360, and PS3, with Sony going first because of the manufacturer's increased ability to cut costs for the PS3. Pachter believes the move will be triggered by last year's slumping console sales, which were down by five percent overall. To rectify the situation, he believes a $50 price cut should do the trick.
Interestingly, back in October Pachter predicted the same thing, only at the time it was Microsoft taking the plunge first.
