Jake Kazdal knows games. Starting in the industry when he was a teenager, Kazdal helped develop games as varied as Rez and Blacklight: Tango Down. Last year, his studio 17-Bit released a critically-acclaimed strategy game called Skulls of the Shogun; you can read our glowing review here. To celebrate the release of the updated version of the game on Steam, we sat down with Kazdal to talk about the four-year development of Skulls of the Shogun and what it's like to found your own independent studio.
