Last month, we learned that Bloodborne will have procedurally generated elements restricted to a specific part of the game. We saw the Chalice Dungeons in action for the first time at PlayStation Experience, along with an enormous demon dog that serves as a warden of the shifting halls.

Today, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa reveals more about how players will access this area and what they’ll find. In order to gain access, you'll need a holy chalice. Each time you enter, the layout and scenery will be different, with new perils in wait. The dungeons are home to a variety of landscapes, including swamps and gothic halls.

They are filled with traps and monsters guarding the dungeon protectors and ritual masters. These are creatures (like the one pictured above) that have never seen the light of day.

Through an as yet unspecified mechanism, you'll be able to upload the Chalice Dungeons you encounter so that other players can experience them. Bloodborne is due out on PlayStation 4 on March 24.
