As the relatively young video game medium ages, so too do the people who helped usher it into the dream factory we enjoy today. Sadly, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata's time was prematurely cut short when he passed away last weekend. On this week's podcast, we reflect on the late Nintendo president's career. We also discuss the new Batgirl DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight, Godzilla, God of War III Remastered, and more.
Today's episode begins with Andrew Reiner, Kyle Hilliard, Joe Juba, and myself talking about what we've been playing (Ben Hanson is out this week). For the second segment we respond to a collection of terrific emails, covering topics like passing on our favorite media to younger generations and review scores (send your emails to podcast@gameinformer.com). Finally, we spend the last portion of the show honoring and remembering the late Satoru Iwata, from his beginnings as a programmer on games like Balloon Fight and the Kirby series, to ushering a new mobile age for Nintendo. The man accomplished much in his tragically cut-short career than anyone could ever dream of, and we hope you'll join us in remembering him.
