Dragon Quest Builders 2 Announced For Switch And PS4

by Elise Favis on Aug 06, 2017 at 11:30 AM

At the Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 this weekend, happening in Japan, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Builders 2 is in the works and teased some early gameplay footage.

The first game blends the RPG franchise with Minecraft-like gameplay. The sequel builds on those same concepts, and adds new features such as underwater diving, multiplayer for up to four people, and triples the amount of blocks than can be stacked. Dragon Quest Builders 2 will also include hang gliding similar to what we've seen in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

You can watch the gameplay demo below.

While there is no release date yet, Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest Builders would come to both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
