Wargaming Holding Special In-Game Event In Support Of Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk

by Douglas DeLong on Jun 05, 2017 at 01:39 PM

Warner Bros. and Wargaming announced a collaboration today in support of Christopher Nolan's new film, Dunkirk. The film is about one of the critical turning points of World War II, the Miracle of Dunkirk, where hundreds of thousands of trapped Allied soldiers were evacuated by the combined efforts of military and civilian vessels.

Battles around Dunkirk involved forces in the air, on the land, and in the sea, which makes this collaboration very fitting. World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, and World of Warships will be featuring new emblems, missions, and more as part of a "Remember Dunkirk" event commemorating the 77th anniversary of the momentous battle. You can expect even more events in July, when the film releases.

You can watch the trailer for the film here.

Our Take
There are still few specifics on what kind of content will be offered and how it directly relates to the new film, but having more excuses to play Wargaming's trilogy certainly isn't a bad thing. We enjoyed playing World of Warships when it first launched.
