Sega, Wargaming & Creative Assembly Partner For Total War: Arena

by Matthew Kato on Nov 14, 2016 at 03:19 AM

World of Tanks creator Wargaming and its Wargaming Alliance publishing arm is joining forces with Sega and its internal studio Creative Assembly to release Total War: Arena. The game is a free-to-play 10v10 team multiplayer title.

The Wargaming Alliance imprint bestows resources, the Wargaming subscriber base, and Wargaming's FTP knowledge to its partners, and Total War: Arena is the label's first release – although a release date or timeframe for the game has not been announced. The title was first announced in 2013.

Our Take
Not a lot has been said about the title since its initial reveal, and it will be interesting to find out if, given its experience in the area, Wargaming made any suggestions for the game's features and development, or if this is a more surface partnership.
