Madden NFL 16 Predicts The Winner Of Super Bowl 50

by Matthew Kato on Feb 01, 2016 at 04:00 AM

While Madden developer EA Tiburon probably can't predict which commercial will be the best on Sunday, the studio does have a knack for tabbing which team will win the Super Bowl. EA Tiburon has simmed the game's result using Madden NFL 16, and here's how it thinks things will go down.

Once again the Panthers make it look easy – and Peyton Manning has another rough start – as the first quarter ends with a 10-0 Panthers lead. But Manning, in what may be his last season, isn't going down without a fight. A TD to Emmanuel Sanders and an Aqib Talib INT of Newton give the Broncos some juice, and at the end of the third quarter, it's 17-13 Panthers.

The rally continues with a Demaryius Thomas TD to put Denver ahead 20-17 in the fourth quarter. While end-of-game heroics make for nice movie scripts and don't always happen in reality, like last year's real-life Super Bowl, this game will go down to the wire.

Here's how Madden 16 predicts it will happen.

At the end of the day, Newton goes 19-26 for 216 yards, two TDs (one passing, one rushing), and one INT – as well as the Super Bowl MVP award. Meanwhile, Manning's stat line is 21-37 for 241 yards, two TDs, and one INT.

If you want to start making your own Super Bowl magic, the game is now free for EA Access subscribers.
