Nintendo Turns The Key On Super Mario Maker Mercedes DLC
The last time Nintendo teamed up with Mercedes Benz, it was an odd but logical fit. A Mercedes in Mario Kart 8 has thematic resonance. Now, you can drive an 8-bit luxury car in Super Mario Maker, though we’re not sure why you’d want to other than it being free.
In order to add the car to your collection, you need to complete the Mercedes Benz Jump ’n’ Drive challenge level. You can find it in the Event Courses section, where all of the Nintendo-curated content lives.
The car, a Mercedes Benz GLA, will be available via mystery mushroom once you’ve claimed it. Hopefully creative level designers will find a clever way to make this more than just strange sponsored content.
