Super Mario World, Shadow Of The Colossus, And Batman: Arkham Knight All Share This Scene
During my playthrough of Batman: Arkham Knight, there was a specific moment that made me recall similar moments from completely unrelated games.
In order to avoid spoilers (even revealing the reference in Super Mario World could spoil the others), gifs of the scenes I am referencing are hidden behind the images below.

All three characters abandon their steed in order to move forward forward in their adventure. Mario leaps from Yoshi's back to save himself from missing a jump. Wander is ejected from Agro's back so they don't fall to their death. Batman launches from his Batmobile to the safety above knowing full well the Arkham Knight would destroy it with his drill.
Similarly, all three characters have their steeds returned. Yoshi is reborn in the following levels, Agro is revealed to have survived the fall, and Lucius Fox happened to have a spare Batmobile (with all your upgrades no less) lying about.
Basically, what I am trying to say, is these games are all exactly the same.
